Tournaments
What's more exciting than playing poker online with players from around the world?
Playing against them in tournaments!
What's an online poker tournament?
It's actually very simple; All of the players who join a tournament start out with an equal amount of chips and they play until one player has all of the chips. At regular intervals, the blinds and antes are raised, making the pots larger and the play more intense.
There are two main types of tournaments; Sit & Go and Scheduled.
Sit & Go Tournaments start as soon as all of the seats are occupied. They are restricted to a relatively small number of players, so the action is fast-paced and you don't have to set aside a lot of time to participate.
Scheduled Tournaments start at a particular date and time. These tournaments are announced well in advance and players must register in order to participate. Scheduled tournaments may have thousands of players and often huge prize pools.
Tournament Styles: Choose your preferred tournament style!
- Rebuy: In most tournaments, players will start with an equal amount of chips and play until their chip stack is depleted. In Rebuy Tournaments, players are allowed to purchase an additional stack of chips for an additional fee. However, you are only allowed to rebuy when you run out of chips or when your stack is equal to or below your starting chip amount.
- Rebuy + Add-On: Add-ons are similar to rebuys in that they allow tournament players to purchase chips in addition to their original stack. Unlike rebuys, however, add-ons allow players to purchase additional chips regardless of how many chips they currently have.
- Turbo: Unlike the typical 10-minute blind schedule, Turbo-style Tournaments raise the blinds and antes every 4 minutes. For our blinds and ante schedule, click here.
